中国绿色产品认证制度是国家推荐性的新型产品认证制度，是深入贯彻落实中共中央、国务院《生态文明体制改革总体方案》和国务院办公厅《关于建立统一的绿色产品标准、认证、标识体系的意见》的有力举措。中国绿色产品认证由国家按照“统一目录、统一标准、统一评价、统一标识”的原则实施。
